We started Pantry because our fridge was full of good intentions
Pantry started in 2021 as a spreadsheet three friends shared to stop binning food. Now there are eleven of us in Bristol, and 180,000 households use the app.

Why we built it
The average UK household bins around £60 of food a month. We buy most of it with good intentions on Saturday and forget about it by Wednesday.
We had enough recipe apps already. We wanted help with the boring bit, deciding what to cook and what to buy for it. So we built that.
What we care about
Less waste, fewer apps
A feature has to save food, time or money, or we don’t build it.
Tested recipes
We cook every recipe twice at home before it goes in the app.
Private by default
No ads and no selling data. Your fridge is nobody else’s business.
Small and honest
There are eleven of us. We answer support ourselves and tell you when something isn’t ready.
